This position is responsible for the management and administration of all Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions as well as the firm’s day-to-day finance procedures, and for support to the Chief Operations Officer and Finance Manager. Hours: Full-Time (9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)
Classification: Non-Exempt Position
Location: Hybrid – work in NFC’s Chatham, NJ office a minimum of two (2) days per week. Under NFC’s current hybrid model (which is subject to change), in-office days are every Wednesday, with a second day on either Tuesday or Thursday. Must be flexible and willing to work in person for additional days as needed for coverage and/or other business needs.
Essential Functions:
- Full A/R and A/P management
- Expense reimbursements and manual check requests
- Assist with ad hoc financial, timekeeping, and billing reports
- Credit card management and internal coding
- Respond to various client requests
- Maintain firm financial records in an organized manner
- Daily cash posting
- Assist with special Finance and Operations projects
Skills Required:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience preferred in finance administration, and accounts receivable and accounts payable management,, preferably in a law firm or other professional services firm.
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships both internally and externally with clients
- Time management skills
- Intermediate skills in MS Excel and Word
- Experience with billing and timekeeping software (Bill.com and Coyote a plus, but not required)
- Ability to multi-task and plan, with strong organizational skills
- High level of confidentiality
- A self- starter with the ability to think “outside the box” and work independently
Education: Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree preferred. Candidate with relevant equivalent work experience will be considered.
Salary Range: $68k – $72k
The Firm is providing this good faith salary range to comply with applicable law. The applicant’s final salary will depend on a number of factors including the applicant’s skills, experience, and years of practicing employment law.
