Attention New Jersey, New York, & New York City Employers: Update Your Workplace Posting for 2026

You’ve rung in the new year and caught up on new laws—but have you updated your mandatory workplace postings for 2026? If not, we’ve compiled (and linked!) an updated list of key workplace posters—with brief descriptions of covered employers and poster content—that private employers in New Jersey, New York, and New York City are required to post in conspicuous locations in the workplace.

Before we get into it, employers should note that this round up covers generally applicable posting obligations for private employers. Accordingly, employers should consider the following:

  • Additional distribution obligations may be required.
  • Certain job functions or actions may trigger additional notice obligations.
  • Postings may be required in additional languages.
  • Industry-specific employers may have additional posting obligations.
  • Posting and distribution requirements may differ for remote employees.

NEW JERSEY
