Philanthropic Endeavors

NFC is a place where passion meets purpose. We encourage our employees to utilize the Firm’s resources to make the community a better place. Empowering our employees to give back and make a change is a win-win for all.

Celebrating 20 Years with 20 Acts of Service

Service and giving back aren’t something we step away from our work to do — it’s how we show up every day at NFC. As we celebrate NFC turning 20, we’re proud to put that belief into action through our “20 Acts of Service” initiative. Throughout the year, each Act will reflect who we are – our values, our people, and our commitment to making a meaningful impact beyond the workplace. Because for us, service and giving back isn’t an extra. It’s embedded in our culture. Join us on this journey as we share each Act of Service and the stories behind them.

Veteran’s Clinic 2026

NFC Attorneys along with Panasonic North America’s in-house legal department provided pro-bono assistance at the Veterans Legal Wellness Clinic run by the Volunteer Lawyers for Justice (VLJ) at the VA Hospital in East Orange, NJ.

The VLJ's mission is to ensure access to justice for people experiencing poverty across New Jersey. Among the programs it administers is a dedicated clinic for veterans, and the VLJ provides comprehensive training to the lawyers and paralegals who volunteer.

NFC is proud of its partnership with VLJ, and this initiative also offered a meaningful opportunity to collaborate with attorneys from Panasonic North America—one of our most valued clients.

Pop-Up Prom Shops

A dress and a moment that matters. Before the music starts and the photos are taken, every student deserves to feel confident walking through the door. For our second Act of Service, we’ve contributed to a Pop-Up Prom Shop (East Coast)/The Princess Project (West Coast)…providing formal dresses for students who might not otherwise have access. Because feeling included shouldn’t come with a price tag.

Snow Ball 2026

The Snow Bowl is an annual 6-on-6 flag football tournament held at Rutgers University SHI Stadium to raise funds for Special Olympics New Jersey (SONJ). Hosted by the New York Giants, this popular event featured over 1,000 participants playing on the professional turf, raising over $500,000 annually to support sports training and competitions for individuals with intellectual disabilities.

NFC Partner Jesse Grasty and his friends have now raised over $225k in the last 7 years and have won the tournament 4 times!

Clean Water Cafe & Pizzabilities

The Clean Water Cafe in Parsippany, NJ, is a nonprofit coffeehouse where every purchase provide clean drinking water to communities in Africa and Central America, while creating meaningful employment for adults with special needs.

Pizzabilities in Alpine, CA, shares that mission of inclusion--offering employment to individuals with disabilities in a supportive pizzeria where "pizza and abilities rise together."

NFC was honored to supported these local businesses by drinking and eating with purpose and changing lives.

Spring Step Challenge

Our firm took part in a step challenge designed to build camaraderie, promote wellness, and encourage friendly competition. Through virtual, story-driven walking challenges, our team turned everyday steps into interactive adventures - staying active and connected wherever work happened.

The winning team selected St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital as a firm-sponsored donation, helping us celebrate this milestone by giving back. Here’s to having made every step count.

The Long Drive for Justice

NFC was proud to be on the course alongside our clients, Jeremy Sample and Mike Lynch, with Kerrie R. Heslin and Ryan S. Carlson representing our team for an incredible day. Thanks to the generosity and support of everyone involved, the outing raised an impressive $111,000 in support of VLJ’s mission to expand access to justice for individuals experiencing poverty.

Every drive, every putt, and every connection made helped fuel meaningful impact for those in need. Great people, a great cause, and real impact…this is how we drive justice forward. TOGETHER.

Community Food Bank of New Jersey

NFC is proud to support the Community FoodBank of New Jersey (CFBNJ) and its incredible mission to fight hunger and build stronger communities across the state. As New Jersey’s largest anti-hunger and anti-poverty organization, CFBNJ provides food, assistance, and resources to thousands of individuals and families in need each year. Their work goes beyond meals—helping create pathways to stability, health, and hope for our neighbors facing food insecurity. We’re honored to support an organization making such a meaningful impact throughout New Jersey.

Social Responsibility Committee

The lawyers and staff of NFC recognize that pro bono legal service and volunteering are fundamental parts of our Core Values, and is critically important to those whom we assist.  As such, the Social Responsibility Committee (“SRC”) is dedicated to increasing the Firm’s volunteering and community engagement efforts.  The SRC oversees the Firm’s pro bono efforts including but not limited to pro bono employment law counseling to small businesses with an emphasis on minority and women-owned small businesses and the Firm’s participation in various legal clinics.  NFC lawyers obtain pro bono work from a variety of sources including organizations such as:
