SAN DIEGO (July 9, 2026): Employment law firm Nukk-Freeman & Cerra, PC (NFC) is continuing the strategic expansion of its West Coast office with the addition of three attorneys, a new legal professional, and the relocation of two experienced paralegals from the firm’s New Jersey office to San Diego.

The firm welcomed attorney Maegan Madrigal in June, followed by attorneys Shelby Harris and Matt Seydel in
July, while Kaitlyn Steinberg joined as Legal Administrative Assistant and Receptionist. Completing the expansion are Mateo Garcia and Alayna Mejias, who will relocate from NFC’s New Jersey office to San Diego later this summer, further strengthening the firm’s national platform.

“We are excited to expand NFC’s footprint in Southern California and bring the service and expertise the firm is
known for to companies on the West Coast,” said Stacy Fode, Managing Partner of NFC’s West Coast Division.
“Adding so many talented attorneys and legal professionals in such a short period is an exciting milestone, and we look forward to the experience, energy and commitment they bring to our clients and our growing West Coast practice.”

Madrigal advises employers on a broad range of employment law matters, including workplace compliance,
litigation strategy, discrimination, retaliation, disability accommodations, wage and hour issues, and Private
Attorneys General Act (PAGA) claims. She earned her J.D. from California Western School of Law.

Harris represents employers in employment litigation involving wage and hour disputes, discrimination,
harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, breach of contract, class actions and PAGA matters. She also has
significant experience handling dispositive motions, arbitration matters and all phases of pretrial litigation. Harris
earned her J.D. from Washington University School of Law.

Seydel’s experience includes handling all phases of civil litigation, including employment, business and general
liability matters. His background includes litigation strategy, discovery, mediation, arbitration and trial
preparation. Seydel earned his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School.

Steinberg brings valuable legal operations, client service and administrative experience to NFC’s West Coast team. Garcia and Mejias are longtime members of NFC’s East Coast team whose relocation reflects the firm’s continued investment in expanding its California presence.
