CHATHAM, NJ – September 13, 2021 Top-ranked employment law firm, Nukk-Freeman & Cerra, PC (NFC), is pleased to announce that it has expanded its service offerings to include a dedicated Investigation Practice Group (IPG). Staffed by skilled and experienced attorneys with specialized training, the IPG provides a full range of investigation-related services. The IPG’s attorney-investigators conduct privileged and non-privileged investigations, handling every aspect of the process with the utmost skill and discretion. In addition, the IPG’s attorney-counselors assist clients in building their internal investigation policies and processes, while also advising companies faced with internal complaints on best practices for conducting their own compliant and effective investigations. Rounding out the IPG’s array of services is its training arm, where attorney-trainers design and deliver interactive workshops to clients’ legal, human resources and investigation teams with step-by-step guidance on conducting prompt and thorough investigations, from initial outreach to close-out.

“Since NFC’s inception in 2006, our experienced team has been conducting independent and effective investigations, including high-level, sensitive investigations involving complaints of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, bullying, whistleblowing, financial misconduct and code of conduct and policy violations. We have also counseled clients dealing with the landmines inherent in workplace investigations, assisted them in developing comprehensive investigation policies and process, and trained their team members on how to conduct compliant and effective investigations,” states Robin H. Rome, Partner at NFC. “We have now harnessed this experience by creating a dedicated Investigations Practice Group, staffed with first-class investigators, counselors and trainers. Every business can benefit from the IPG’s services, which are not only essential for legal compliance but also crucial in protecting companies from the risks of employment litigation.”

NFC’s IPG team includes attorneys at all levels – Partners, Counsel and Associates – supported by a team of seasoned paralegals. The IPG is led by Partners, Robin H. Rome and Phillip J. Lipari, who both regularly conduct investigations and present on investigation-related topics for various organizations. Most recently, Ms. Rome and Mr. Lipari were selected to speak at the Association of Corporate Counsel New Jersey’s Annual Conference on September 23, 2021 and the Association of Workplace Investigators’ Annual Conference on October 14-15, 2021 in Denver, Colorado on “The Investigation Aftermath: How Workplace Investigations are Used in Litigation and Tips for Making Them Attack Proof.”
